We pick up throughout our Jacksonville service area, then drive you straight to the Port Canaveral terminal assigned to your ship.

  • Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) arrivals
  • Homes, hotels and offices in Jacksonville and the Beaches
  • Other agreed pickups in Northeast Florida, such as Ponte Vedra Beach or St. Augustine

The drive is about 160 miles from downtown Jacksonville and about 175 miles from JAX Airport. Plan on roughly 2½ to 3 hours on the road. That is a planning range, not a guarantee: I-95 traffic, weather, holiday weekends and any stops you ask for can add time, so every cruise-day departure includes a buffer.

Port Canaveral asks guests to arrive at the boarding time their cruise line assigns, and under port rules passengers arriving by commercial vehicle are unloaded at the terminal at that time, not before. Your boarding time is in your cruise documents, and the port’s official terminal arrival guides cover each terminal.

How we plan your cruise-day departure

  1. We confirm your sailing

Cruise line, ship, sailing date, terminal and the boarding time on your cruise documents.

  2. We set your departure window

We recommend when to leave Jacksonville, based on your pickup address, expected traffic and any planned stops.

  3. We confirm everything in writing

Your chauffeur, vehicle, pickup location and destination terminal are confirmed before the transfer.

Private Car Service from JAX Airport to Port Canaveral

Flying into Jacksonville International Airport before your cruise? Your chauffeur meets you inside the terminal, in the designated meet-and-greet area near Baggage Claim 1 on the lower level, holding a sign with your reservation name. We track your incoming flight, help you collect your checked bags and walk you out to the reserved vehicle for the direct drive to Port Canaveral.

  • Flight monitoring. Your pickup is coordinated around your actual arrival time.
  • Inside-terminal meet and greet. Near Baggage Claim 1, with your name on a sign.
  • Luggage help. Checked bags, carry-ons and strollers, from the carousel to the car.
  • Vehicle confirmed before you land. Sized for your party and your cruise luggage.
  • Direct to your terminal. No stops for other passengers on the way to the port.

Should you fly into Jacksonville on the day of your cruise?

It is possible, but it leaves little room for error. A delayed flight followed by a drive of around three hours can put your boarding time at risk, and the ship sails on schedule. When you can, consider flying in the day before and leaving for the port the next morning. If you do fly in on sailing day, choose the earliest practical flight and tell us your boarding time so we can plan around it.

Direct Transportation to Your Port Canaveral Cruise Terminal

The terminals sit on two sides of the port. Assignments can change, so we confirm yours from your sailing details instead of guessing by cruise line.

Embarkation day

Drop-off at your terminal

Your reservation carries your ship name, boarding time and terminal. Your chauffeur follows the port’s approach for commercial vehicles and unloads your party and luggage at your terminal’s drop-off area, ready for the porters and check-in. All commercial transportation at Port Canaveral is prearranged, as the port requires.

Disembarkation day

Return pickup to Jacksonville or JAX

Disembarkation times vary by cruise line and by when your group leaves the ship. Before you return, we confirm the meeting point and how to reach us. Text us once you are off the ship with your bags; your chauffeur meets you with a name sign and drives you home or to JAX. Flying out the same day? The drive alone is about three hours, so allow for it.

Jacksonville to Port Canaveral Transportation FAQs

Answers specific to cruise transfers between Jacksonville and Port Canaveral. For general questions, see our chauffeur service FAQs.

Do you provide private car service from Jacksonville to Port Canaveral?

Yes. We provide prearranged, private transportation from Jacksonville and JAX Airport to every Port Canaveral cruise terminal. Your party has the vehicle to itself, with a professional chauffeur, help with luggage and a direct drive to the terminal confirmed for your sailing. Return transfers to Jacksonville are available too.

Do you offer JAX Airport to Port Canaveral cruise transfers?

Yes. We track your flight, and your chauffeur meets you inside the terminal near Baggage Claim 1 with a name sign, helps collect your bags and walks you to the vehicle. From there it is a direct private drive to your Port Canaveral terminal. See our JAX meet-and-greet guide.

How long is the drive from Jacksonville to Port Canaveral?

Plan on roughly 2½ to 3 hours. The trip is about 160 miles from downtown Jacksonville and about 175 miles from JAX Airport, mostly on I-95 South and SR 528 East. Traffic, weather, holiday weekends and requested stops can add time, so we confirm a departure window for your specific pickup.

How early should we leave Jacksonville for our cruise?

Work back from the boarding time your cruise line assigned. We add the drive from your pickup address, a traffic buffer and any stops, then recommend a departure window. Arriving far ahead gains little: port rules hold commercial drop-offs at the terminal until your assigned boarding time.

Do you provide transportation for Disney Cruise Line passengers?

Yes. We drive Disney Cruise Line families from Jacksonville and JAX to the terminal confirmed for their sailing. Child seats are available on request, and we choose the Navigator or Sprinter based on your checked bags, carry-ons and strollers. We are an independent company, not a Disney transportation provider.

Which vehicle is best for a family with cruise luggage?

For up to six people, usually the Lincoln Navigator L Reserve, which carries 5 checked bags and 3 carry-ons at full load. Two or three travelers with standard luggage fit the Cadillac XT6. Larger families, or several families together, should book the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, which seats 14. Send us your bag count and we will confirm.

Do you offer round-trip Port Canaveral transportation?

Yes. Add your return date when you book. Before disembarkation day we confirm the meeting point and how to reach us. Text us once you are off the ship with your luggage, and your chauffeur meets you for the drive back to Jacksonville or JAX Airport.

How much does a private car from Jacksonville to Port Canaveral cost?

Each transfer is quoted individually. The fare depends on your pickup location, vehicle, one-way or round trip, passengers and luggage, date and any stops. Your written quote itemizes tolls, fees, waiting time and gratuity, so you see what the total includes before you book. Request a quote.

Do you provide child seats for the cruise transfer?

Yes, by advance request. Infant, convertible and booster seats are available. Tell us each child's age and weight when you book so the right seats are installed before pickup. Child seats also take space, so they help us choose the right vehicle for your luggage.

What happens if our flight or cruise schedule changes?

For JAX pickups we monitor your flight and coordinate around the actual arrival time, within the waiting allowance in your confirmation. If your ship returns late or your plans change, text us at (904) 800-5657 and we will revise the pickup. Changes and cancellations follow our cancellation policy.
